In the olden days women don't have any need to work, they stay at home to take care of the children. Their job is that of a care giver while the man provides for the home.
She is expected to bear children and train them, She is also expected to keep the home clean and warm for her man but today's world is very much different.
There is increase in financial obligations of the man, as our society get more civilized expenses increase everyday.
A woman is not under any obligation to work or become financially independent It is and it remains the man duty to provide for the home but, as a woman there are reasons you should bring money to the table.
I have been working since I was 16 years, I just love making money. Even when my dad was alive and providing well for us I still go out there and bring in money. Even though I ended up giving most of it away.
What inspired me was my mom❤ She was my daddy's backbone and secret. Many people thought my dad was stinkingly rich, they kept coming to our home and going back with money .
When dad was building our house mom said she told him to concentrate on building the house, through out those period she was the one buying provision and taking care of the home.
People where always commenting that my dad had to much respect for my mom. He used to call her his Mama❤
My mom does not work at any office. She has been selling provision since when I was small. She was selling at the market before my dad built a shop for her at the front of our house. This woman is industrious; She sells virtually anything sellable.
When I was a teenager I was addicted to books, 📚 I started writing since when I was in primary school .
When I became a teenager I wasn't interested in boys, I just wanted to read books. I read up to 2 books in a day at times. Whenever I am going to buy books I will go to my mom's provision store to collect money from her.
I buy books with poly bags,
She never complained for a day. I didn't understand how much she was spending on my hobbies then. Imagine if there was no mom to give me money to buy books? Maybe I wouldn't have become a published author today.
Imagine if there was no one to borrow our school fees from? We would have dropped out of school.
The First Reason you should be financially STABLE and INDEPENDENT is:

Your husband has loads of responsibilities you should help him with, being a Liability will make you lose value and purpose.
Prov.31.11 Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. (NLT) You are in his life to enrich it not to add to his burdens.
Prov.31.12 She will not hinder him but help him all her life. (NLT)
Prov.31.13 She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. (NLT)
Prov.31.28 Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: (NLT)
Will your children bless or curse you in the future?
If the reason they can't fulfil their dreams is because of financial constraint they will wish they have gotten a better mother.
TO EARN RESPECT & HONOUR
Society does not respect a woman that does not have her own money . When a poor girl marries a rich man they will call her a gold digger, when a financially stable girl marries a rich man it is favour.
Your in-laws won't have any iota of respect for you, After all, you have come to eat their son's money. They will bypass you to talk to their son or brother any day and make you an outcast.
If God forbid the woman becomes a widow they won't give her any right to her husband's property. They don't care if you suffer with him, if they know you don't have a kobo to your name you are still a gold digger.
FOR FULFILMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT OF YOUR PERSONAL GOALS
You need to feel fulfilled, you need to have your own small wins and big wins, Your husband cannot sponsor all your dreams.
If you are not financially independent the greatest title you will ever have is MRS. What about your God-given purpose? What that dream you have of learning a foreign language?
Your husband and children have to be proud of you, But first, you have to be a goal getter and achiever. Any man will be bored with a house wife whose only goal in life is to gossip.
