SURRENDER TO MERCY

BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 9: 11 - 13

Matt.9.11 The Pharisees were indignant. "Why does your teacher eat with such scum?" they asked his disciples. (NLT)

Matt.9.12 When he heard this, Jesus replied, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do." (NLT)

Matt.9.13 Then he added, "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: 'I want you to be merciful; I don't want your sacrifices.' For I have come to call sinners, not those who think they are already good enough." (NLT)

The reason some people have not embraced a deeper relationship with Jesus is because they think they are not "Good Enough".

Are you living in self condemnation? Do you think about your past and present, and can't understand how God can love someone like you?

Jesus was born solely for this purpose; to find sinners like you, take away your sins, and bring you into a relationship with God.

Do you think you are not good enough for Jesus? Nobody is good enough, and nobody deserves the kind of love Jesus has for us.

Let mercy haunt your past, and let Jesus' blood erase them. Jesus wants to give you a brand new beginning, will you accept this offer?

1John.1.9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. (NLT)

DECLARATION

I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I embrace all the love the father has for me. I believe Jesus loves me because He's Jesus, not because I'm perfect. I surrender my past to Him, and embrace forgiveness. I'm going to surrender my shortcomings to Him, and let mercy haunt my past. I'm forgiven and can embrace all that His love will deliver to me today Hallelujah.
