Born of water and the Spirit

BORN OF WATER & AND THE SPIRIT

BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 3: 3-5

John.3.3 Jesus replied, "I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God." (NLT)

John.3.4 "What do you mean?" exclaimed Nicodemus. "How can an old man go back into his mother's womb and be born again?" (NLT)

John.3.5 Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. (NLT)

Do you know someone can spend all his/her days in the church and still not be born again? So many people have Christian names, come from a Christian home, attend church regularly, but were never born again.

Jesus gave the analogy of being born of the water and the spirit, verse 5 of that scripture is an explanation of verse 3. What Jesus was telling Nicodemus in short is: You can't claim to be born again if you are yet to pass through the water, and there is no regeneration by the Spirit.

Before you can claim to be born again and heaven ready you have to go through water baptism, and then possess the Holy Spirit of God. Being born of the Spirit represents the regeneration that happens when the Holy Spirit dwells in you and gives you a new life.

Is someone around you claiming to be born again? Check if they have gone through water baptism and possesses the fruits of the Spirit. Possessing fruits of the Spirit like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control are important signs of being regenerated.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE DAY

Rom.8.14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (NKJV)

DECLARATION

I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I live a kingdom kind of life. I'm fully regenerated and ready for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because I am born again, my eyes of understanding are opened to recognize true regeneration and spiritual rebirth. I am not less, and do not settle for less. I'm born of the water and the spirit hallelujah.
