THE PITCHER ON HER SHOULDERS

BIBLE TEXT: GEN 24: 11 - 16

Gen.24.11 And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water. (NKJV)

Gen.24.15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. (NKJV)

Gen.24.16 Now the young woman was very beautiful to behold, a virgin; no man had known her. And she went down to the well, filled her pitcher, and came up. (NKJV)

Rebekah was a young, fair, and beautiful lady. She didn't rely on her beauty and virtue to see her through life, but instead she was diligent in taking her pitcher to the well daily.

As a young man or woman serving God, and waiting to be married, you have to add diligence to your virtue.

Go about your work with diligence, kindness, and Godly cheerfulness. Do not be sleeping, engaging in idle chatter, or following mindless gossips on social media when you should be busy building your dreams.

Be determined to have a fruitful month, day, and week. It starts with drawing a plan for things that needed to be done, and then going out of your way to do them diligently.

DECLARATION

I'm God's son/daughter and I understand the order of creation and nature. All things that obey my father will work together for my good today. I step out magnificently, and triumph gloriously.
